Films
I've been making short films since I was twelve years old. Fortunately, those early attempts have never made it to the internet, but many of the other projects I've worked on over the years have. Below you'll find a summary of the shorts and web series I've been a part of creating, along with the links to watch them.
17
This is my first music video, made for the song ‘17’ by BIGG.
Given free reign, I blended in a 70’s horror movie aesthetic with the musical performance, as the disillusioned band seek out their younger selves to put them out of their future misery…
Prime Cut
Prime Cut is a six part web series about vloggers and internet pranksters. It's a thriller and satire following one outsider's mission to rise to the peak of YouTube fame.
The darkest, funniest and most ambitious project I’ve ever done.
Year 9 Houseparty
Year 9 Houseparty is the silliest short film we've made yet. A group of Year 9 students - all played by actors in their twenties - descend on a free house for an afternoon of partying, chaos and total loss of innocence.
Enjoy the madness.
Untitled Peter Fellows Vanity Projects
What started as an attempt to create a portrait of a Londoner turned into a portrait of Peter Fellows failing to create a portrait of a Londoner.
We've now gone back three times over the following years to check in on the state of Peter's life in these short documentaries.
Libido
Imagine if your sex drive was personified by a motormouth in a velvet suit only you could see. That's the life of the sex addict at the centre of Libido, a short comedy drama.
Directed by Peter Fellows and starring the excellent Liberty Buckland and Alex Harvey-Brown.
A
A is a monologue about a man coming to terms with his asexuality during a series of phone calls.
Made for an evening of LGBTQIA monologues.
Another Direction
You may not have heard of early One Direction member Terrence Shorte, but he will make sure you don't forget him again.
Get to know him in a series of comedic vlogs and a full on narrative short.
STAPLE DIET
Inspired by a bunch of arthouse psychological thrillers and horror films, I made this short about a young writer struggling to keep his mind together.
We had a lot of fun with coloured lights, smoke machines and a paddling pool full of jelly.
CALLING CARD
This was the first short film I made that felt truly ambitious. The story weaves together multiple characters, plot strands and timelines in a way that may not make complete sense first time around.
I'm very pleased with how the film turned out, particularly how well the SLR cinematography and some of the tense, disturbing set pieces hold up today.
A Distant Siren
This little short about a runaway from an asylum is mainly notable for being the first time I worked with Peter. It also came with a few more technical challenges like night shooting, using a microphone (when I remembered to turn it on) and filming with the camcorder on a stabiliser my grandad built.
Blacksmith's Wood
Blacksmith's Wood was the first short that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I sought out the best actors at school, rather than just recruiting friends and family - and I'm still proud of their performances.
It's a horror film that was both fun, intense and satisfying to make. It was the first - but definitely not the last - thing I made that would disturb people.
